FAQs
General Questions
-
At MVMT STL we strive to provide the best care possible, which often means appointments last considerably longer and include additional services than a traditional chiropractic visit. Due to the time restrictions the current insurance billing system places on practitioners, the practice style we employ, which often includes acupuncture, therapeutic rehab or occasionally diagnostic ultrasound, reimbursements rates are not reasonably reflected and therefore we cannot accept traditional insurance. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Whether your goal be to get out of pain, improve function or prevent injury, our treatments traditionally last 30-60 minutes and include services such as acupuncture, soft tissue therapy (Graston/ART®), chiropractic manipulation and therapeutic rehabilitation exercises.
Our experienced massage therapists are trained in techniques such as Post-Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Myofascial Release, Cupping, Sports and Medical Massage, Acupressure and Thai Massage.

Chiropractors can significantly aid post-surgery recovery through various techniques. Acupuncture can alleviate pain and promote healing, while Active Release Technique (ART) helps break down scar tissue and improve mobility. Chiropractic adjustments ensure proper spinal alignment, reducing discomfort and enhancing function. Cupping therapy improves blood flow, aiding tissue repair and reducing muscle tension. Combined, these treatments support faster recovery, reduce pain, and restore optimal physical function.

On your first appointment, we recommend wearing athletic clothes. This ensures you are comfortable during the physical examination and any initial treatments, such as adjustments, stretches, or exercises. Athletic attire allows for better movement and flexibility, making it easier for the chiropractor or massage therapist to assess your range of motion and provide effective care. It also prepares you for any physical activities or therapies that might be part of your treatment plan.
